Founded by Shawn Lesser, THE REAL Mental Health Foundation is dedicated to advancing mental health awareness by fostering conversation, community, and innovation.
Shawn’s story is one of resilience and purpose. A pioneer in impact investing with more than 30 years in finance, he helped grow what is now a $1.5 trillion industry. But despite professional success, he faced personal mental health struggles that became the turning point in launching THE REAL.
Today, THE REAL leads grassroots initiatives like REAL Walks and REAL Hats, as well as global gatherings like THE REAL Summit, bringing together business leaders, investors, and changemakers to collaborate on mental health solutions.
